Next Generation Engines

You asked for more power? That’s what the new BMW X5 will give you. For 2024, BMW changed the name of a couple drivetrains:

Drivetrain

Horsepower/Torque

xDrive 40i

6-cylinder 3.0 L + electric

375 hp/398 lb-ft

M60i

V8 4.4 L + electric

523 hp/553 lb-ft

xDrive50e (plug-in hybrid)

6-cylinder 3.0 L + electric

483 hp/516 lb-ft

To note: this year, the BMW X5 plug-in hybrid gets a higher-capacity battery and an additional 94 hp!

BMW’s new X5 contains a Steptronic 8-speed gearbox, reworked to be more efficient than any previous iteration. Driving pleasure is still the name of the game, just as Drew Dorian, journalist for Car and Driver, mentions:

“The X5’s refined ride and stable handling are hallmarks of this generation of BMW SUVs.”

A Modernized Style

The esthetic, functional, and technological changes are quite numerous! On the outside, the manufacturer reworked the bumpers and grille, which can now light up.

The BMW X5 SUV wears 20 to 22 inches wheel rims with a new design, available in quite a few colours, such as a Marina Blue.

On the technological side of things, the next BMW X5 for sale receives:

  • A new incurved screen
  • A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster
  • A 14.9-inch central screen
  • The new iDrive 8 system

These features are tuned to provide an even faster and more intuitive navigation experience. The same can be said for driver assistance technologies.
