Tell us about your project.

Describe your vehicle and what you’d like to restore — we’ll get back to you quickly.

At BMW Ste-Agathe, our passion for the brand doesn’t stop at the current lineup. Our shop welcomes vintage BMWs and MINIs with the same rigour we apply to new vehicles, bringing bodywork, mechanics and interiors that shaped these brands’ history back to life.

Our BMW-trained technicians hold collector vehicles to the same standards as our newest models, with an added focus on preserving their original character: period parts, finishes and details are treated with the care they deserve.

Thanks to our access to BMW Classic parts, we can source hard-to-find components and restore your vehicle’s mechanical and visual fidelity to its original state.

Our expertise

What our shop can do.

Engine and drivetrain

Head resurfacing, valve clearances, re-ringing, gearbox and clutch rebuilds, held to the tolerances of the period workshop manual.

Bodywork and paint

Panel straightening, cavity rust treatment, high-build primer, paint mixed to the original colour code and 2K clear. Sanded and polished to factory finish.

Upholstery and trim

Seams restitched, foams and beading replaced, door cards and wood trim refinished. Leather and cloth sourced to the original grain and colourway.

Electrical system

Harness checked section by section, grounds and terminals redone, instrument cluster removed and serviced. Faults traced with a meter rather than by swapping parts.

Parts procurement

Identified by original part number, ordered through BMW Classic, and tracked down through collector networks and European NOS stock.

Servicing and storage

Oil changes at period viscosities, brake lines and hydraulics inspected, fuel stabilizer and a battery maintainer for the lay-up period.

Our work.

A look at the collector BMWs and MINIs that have passed through our shop, from mechanical work to exterior finish.

BMW M3 E30

Full rebuild of the S14 engine

Behind the BBS cross-spoke wheels and the M3 badge on the hood, the four-cylinder S14 got new piston rings, standard-size rod bearings, and a valve lash set with a feeler gauge. The clutch and gearbox synchros were also renewed.

BMW Z4 M Coupé

Repaint of the red coupé’s body

On this shooting-brake-roofed coupé, the red paint was fine-sanded and resprayed in the booth, with careful masking around the hood and hatch seams. Small stone chips on the front bumper were filled, primed, and buffed to match the surrounding finish.

Carmine red BMW Z4

Full leather interior refresh

Spotted in the dealership parking lot, this carmine-red Z4 got a period-correct leather refresh: new hide on the seat cushions, stitching matched to the original pattern, and new foam in the seatbacks. The front splitter and headlights were also polished.

Classic MINI

Full 12-volt wiring overhaul

Around the round headlights and chrome grille, the 12-volt, negative-ground wiring loom was rewrapped in period-correct cloth, the connectors recrimped, and the turn-signal relay replaced. Lighting was tested and verified with a multimeter.

BMW 2002

Sourcing original NOS parts

Leading the row of classic BMWs parked in front of the dealership, this white 2002 needed NOS parts sourced from specialty suppliers: quarter-window seals, grille trim, and original badging no longer available off the shelf.

BMW 6 Series and convertible

Winter storage preparation

Parked together in the classic-car row, the silver 6 Series and the turquoise convertible each got an oil change before storage, a dose of fuel stabilizer, and were set on jack stands for winter. Both convertible tops were also lubricated.
